Whispers of What Once Was

Memories of a Love That Lingers

By Black RosePublished about a year ago 1 min read

In the stillness of a quiet space,
Soft whispers linger, time won’t erase.
Pictures hang on the wall, so dear,
Each one tells a story, brings you near.

We once laughed, our joy so bright,
Now those moments fade from sight.
Promises spoken, words so sweet,
In this silence, my heart skips a beat.

We danced together under the stars,
Now those memories feel so far.
A love that shone like a bright flame,
Now just memories, never the same.

Time keeps moving, but I feel stuck,
Holding onto echoes, feeling the weight of luck.
Though you're gone, your spirit remains,
In every shadow, I feel your chains.

I'll learn to move on, day by day,
Finding comfort as I find my way.
But in my heart, you will always stay,
A lost love that will never fade away.
