Whispers of Time

A Journey Through Life's Eternal Dance

In the stillness of the morning's first breath,

When shadows stretch long across the earth,

The whisper of time begins its gentle hum,

A melody both old and new from birth.

Up rises the sun in streaks of gold,

Its warmth a promise, its light a guide.

And with one breath, the world awakens,

While the dreams and dawn on high break.

Through dewy fields and dark forests,

The road of life is wide but steep to embark.

Each step it takes gives forth a hollowed sound,

Like wind bound on leaves.

O Time, a silent walker thou,

Yet close companion, so far off now.

Thou dost not pause in joy or pain,

But sweep'st us onward, as a summer rain.

The child beneath his father's eye

Sits playing fancy-free, and high

Laughs on, unconscious of decay,

As, in a flower, the worm doth lay.

But Time, unfolded like a storm,

Breaks darkly near with threatening form,

And when the boy grows bold and bright,

It turns the youth-to manly light.

Chasing stars across endless night.

Ambitions flare like meteors bright,

In the cradle of the velvet sky,

While dreams expand and hearts ignite,

Unawaring how fast days fly by.

The river of time moves swift and sure,

Spreading life's waves, strong and pure.

We chase the current, feeling free,

Forgetting time's vast, endless sea.

Youth gives way to seasons gray,

Where once was light, now shadows play.

The once bold heart begins to slow,

A gentler rhythm it comes to know.

The man reflects upon his past,

Moments fleeting, some meant to last.

Each scar, each smile, a chapter written,

In life's great book, both bright and bitten.

The love once young now soft and wise,

A depth which time itself denies.

Hand in hand with joys and strife,

The two souls harmoniously dance through life.

Oh, time, you thief so far, so kind,

Stealing hours like grains of sand.

Give us instead wisdom for the years,

Secret gift of a quiet peace.

Night falls. The stars appear,

And the soul is ready for flight.

No longer bound by flesh or bone,

It ventures forth into the great unknown.

But still the whisper lingers near,

A soft refrain we always hear.

For time itself doth not expire,

Nor utterly fade away, but spirals round, day after day.

The child who played in the sun's warm light

Becomes the man whose course is run.

Yet somewhere in a distant dawn,

Another child wakens to the song.

The cycle whirs, the wheel goes round,

New voices rise from holy ground.

The faces change, the names may be

Known part, yet time keeps his hold in each heart.

O boundless river, wide and free,

Thou carriest us all upon thy sea.

Each moment lost 'midst numberless past,

A mingled joy, a constant aghast.

And though we fight to hold you close,

You slip away, like fading ghosts.

Yet in your wake, we find our way,

Through night and dark, to break of day.

For time is not a foe to fight,

Nor something lost in endless night.

It's woven through each breath, each beat,

A rhythm steady, pure, complete.

So let us dance within its flow,

Savor every moment as it passes.

For though the river may separate,

It's in its flow we truly sail.

Through love, through loss, through joy and pain,

Time whispers softly, once again.

It leads us home, to peace, to rest,

A journey long, yet truly blessed.

And in the quiet of the night's last sigh,

When stars grow dim and shadows lie,

We know that time, though fleeing fast, Leaves echoes in the heart that last.
