Whispers of the North Sea
A poem inspired by the treacherous beauty of the North Sea
By Allwyn Roman WaghelaPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

In the heart of the tempest, where the North Sea roars,
Waves crash with fury upon the rugged shores.
Beneath the stormy skies, the waters churn and seethe,
A dance of danger, where sailors scarcely breathe.
The wind howls a warning, through the night so black,
Guiding lost souls, who may never make it back.
Ships are but playthings, in the ocean’s mighty hand,
Tossed and turned, like castles built on sand.
Yet in the chaos, there’s a haunting, wild allure,
A call to the brave, to test and to endure.
For in the North Sea’s depths, where danger meets the brave,
Lies the spirit of adventure, in every crashing wave.

Have you personally been on the seas?
I like your poem.
This is apt description of the seas especially this one. To me this could be an opener to a great seafaring novel.
