The reason You came

in the flesh

Your purpose

to fulfill Prophecy

Your willingness

to be the Sacrifice

Your life

traded for our lives

from Messiah

to mocked and tortured

from Savior

to savagely beaten

from King of Kings

to a crown of thorns

thrust into Your skull

not a day passes

that I don't

think about You

and wish that You

were still here

in the flesh

but

one day I'll

meet you in person

and thank you

for pulling me from

the mud pit

that I didn't even know

that I was in

all it took was

touching

the white Root

that came out of the

mud wall

in front of me

and I was at

the edge of a

beautiful pasture

behind a

gossamer curtain

the grass was tall

and cool

under my bare feet

I had so many

questions

but they could wait

while I took in

the pasture

in front of me

vibrant

green

lush

peaceful

perfect

You let me know

that You're real

no grand

announcement

no harps

no angelic choirs

no bright light

just mud and grass

from the

humble

power of

You.
