Whispers across time.

Dearest little me…..

By Marvelous MichaelPublished about a year ago 2 min read

She hides behind shy eyes,

a little girl lost in the silence,

afraid to uncover the truth,

that anger is just a veil

for the softness she’s buried within.

______

Covered in a blanket of quiet,

she cradles her heart.

Perhaps average in spite, yet enough,

talents unseen, but real.

______

I whisper across time

Don’t give up just because the world didn’t hand you a crown.

Persevere, and you will unearth

a treasure hidden within,

a jewel that mirrors the light you’ve always wielded.

______

Don’t fear the path—

it winds, it dips, it pulls,

but that hook in your heart,

it’s also your anchor.

______

Speak your truth,

even when lips quiver and your words mumbles and your heart trembles,

for love is loud and real and raw.

And someone would love you if only you open your heart once more.

_____

You care deeply, not just for you,

but for the both of us, for all of them.

____

Overlooked in a world that makes your existence feel invisible,

like pieces scattered in the wind.

_____

Yet each day,

even as you feel yourself fade,

there is a spark—

a flicker of something more,

a reminder that we are greater than the roles we play,

greater than the judgments we’ve swallowed whole.

_____

As we search for the self

buried too soon beneath the surface,

we’ll find her again—

I will compliment you, and together we’ll rise.

not for what you have,

but for the strength you wield,

for the hope you harbor,

for the courage it takes not to give up.

_____

Oh, fragile soul,

open your eyes to the power of your perseverance,

to the beauty in your scars.

_____

And with this love,

we see ourselves,

understand the mess,

the beauty in the broken,

and even in the little left,

there’s a chance,

a flicker, a hope—

and that is enough.

You are more than enough.

_____

And I love you—

for your strength not your wealth

for not giving up, not your affairs or beauty

for the hope you hold and not the awards you were bestowed

Thus saith I, for I am your God.

Sincerely,

your older self.
