That’s all I need to know

Whispering You Love Me

Your voice fell soft upon my skin,

a warmth that moved through every thought,

and when you whispered that you cared,

a quiet calm washed over me.

The words arrived like gentle rain,

they settled where my worries lived,

and in their touch I felt a truth,

that held me steady in the night.

I let your softness fill the air,

a sound that soothed my restless heart,

and in the stillness of the room,

your love became the only light.

There was a peace within your tone,

a care you didn’t try to hide,

and everything inside me eased,

the moment your voice called to mine.

I felt the world grow far away,

as if you wrapped it in your hands,

and all that mattered in that time,

was how you spoke your love to me.

Even when silence later came,

the echo of your truth remained,

a gentle thread I held at night,

to guide me when the dark grew deep.

I kept those words within my chest,

they settled like a steady flame,

and every morning when I wake,

your whisper still is close to me.

And though the days may shift and change,

your voice stays rooted in my soul,

a quiet promise softly made,

that love will always find its way.
