What if I am in midlife,
I believe in keeping the
subconscious, subpersonality
inner child alive.
For if she is happy,
I am on the right path,
I will also thrive,
So I take the plush toys
to the backyard garden,
on summer afternoon.
As the sun is setting,
I play make-believe games:
A concert setting, by
the hollyhock patch
Tiger plays the music
friends watch in interest,
cheering on his tunes,
giving confidence boost.

Then they sit together,
share tea, food and talk,
discuss life philosophy,
they feel secure and happy.
Whimsical games are fun,
it helps improve compassion,
a connection to childhood,
the inner child feels good.
More poems on inner child.

Amazing poem!!!
What a great lesson poem. I kind of do this when I am working on writing children's poems or stories. I have some of my old stuffed animals sitting up kind of arranged so 'conversations sharing ideas' can occur'.
