While They’re Still Here

Love and make a fuss. Show how much you care

While They’re Here

Hold their hands while they still reach,

listen close while voices teach.

Laugh with them, don’t wait to cry,

love them now—before goodbye.

Not in marble, not in stone,

show them while they’re not alone.

Warm embraces, stories told,

memories made before they’re old.

Tears won’t matter once they’re gone,

give them light to walk upon.

Not just flowers on the ground—

be their joy while they’re around.

I wish my Mam & Dad was still here

Life’s never the same when they are gone,

One last chat, one last smile or kiss,

I would give everything up for 10 minutes more.
