Where does this end?
Angry poem thing.
Drowning
in a sea of discontent, with an increasing number of miscreants and malcontents
Stunned
to hushed silence at the lies upon lies and misfires in communication breakdown
Money
be the goal of those in control, power be the quest of those whose start was best
The Pigs
of equality they dance around the dirt, until they learn to walk on two legs
Haves and the rest
leaders and the led, the muck slingers and the muck dwellers
Supposed demonocracy
opposed to freedom, free thinking frowned upon, just subservience
Ass covering
behind closed doors deals whose side are you really on never ending lies
As the world melts,
the masquerade ball of unimportant issues, vilifying the have nots
Senseless sensibilities
proud prejudice, the fires are stoked, but where's the revolution?
We're told
to support, told to uphold, but told freedom of speech is a joy to behold
Where be
the promised changes? forever long delayed improvements once the election dusts
Darkness shadows
the light, brightness forgotten as the smog grows, holding us captive
When we fight
we're not right, when we follow, we give up tomorrow, where does this end?

Thanks for reading!
Author's Notes: Clearing out my WIP a little and found this. It's not saying anything new...I guess. Enjoy.
Here are more worse abuses.

Some of these speak of a fire lit under your bottom! Usually it ends when we all collectively say NO 💪
Keeping a sufficient majority of the population convinced that the powers that be are not the source & cause of their trials & tribulations but that rather the problem is someone else, usually relatively defenseless, is a task that requires daily renewal & reinforcement. That having been said, the powers that be also have the resources to provide the solutions, & there are many who do their best to realize them for their employees, communities & world. But it doesn't take very many seeking power & wealth with no regard to consequences coveting whatever it is that they don't have, needing to possess anything that belongs to another, to bring the world to its knees, wallowing in a poverty of spirit & soul as well as the basic necessities for survival. All of which is simply to say, "I hear ya, man."
Curious structure that emphasises your key phrases - with some of your often explored themes! ☺️👏 Sorry, it’s been so long, again.
You never cease to amaze me with the various ways you write. so beautifully written 'the light, brightness forgotten as the smog grows,'
Loved the isolated lines - a poem with a poem, super cool! They both hust about sum it up!
WOW!!! Very impressive... Some of my many 'favourite' lines... "As the world melts, the masquerade ball of unimportant issues, vilifying the have nots Senseless sensibilities proud prejudice, the fires are stoked, but where's the revolution?" So many truths well voiced. ... & now, I'm off to walk my patient 'puppy'!
