There was a time I swore—
If life refused my dreams,
I’d refuse its reality.
If fate denied me,
I’d carve my own path,
No matter how impossible.
But now... I wonder,
Where did that girl go?
The one who fought,
The one who burned with purpose,
Who never let the world dim her fire?
Did she fade into silence,
Lost in the weight of days too heavy?
Did the echoes of battle
Steal the voice she once carried so fiercely?
Now she sits, unmoving,
Not wanting, not chasing—
Just staring at the sky
That once held her stars.
Should she search for herself again,
Or is she meant to disappear?
She asks the night,
But the stars won’t tell.

I write the whispers of the soul—silent battles, untold dreams, and echoes of resilience. Let my words speak what hearts often leave unspoken. If you seek words that echo your heart, welcome to my world.

This poem is so masterful. It has this ease, yet complexity to it that makes it do enjoyable to read. I especially loved this line: If life refused my dreams, I’d refuse its reality.
