A Poem

Packed on the tube.

Nose going red, going home.

Thinking of you.

Smile on my face, wind in my hair.

It feels different now.

Somewhere sweeter I am.

Picturing your hands.

Your eyes, lips.

Look up as if you are really there.

So high I have to jump.

So beautiful I would kneel.

Because I could lose my pride

if only to be by your side.

It was only one night.

And, that will suffice.

Should I have learnt what is inside,

or should you have,

my body would be another number

and your heart another lover

to somebody you no longer know.

Lips burning red all

from the thought of you alone.

Listening to songs that sound

like your touch.

I never really had you,

so I can have you

whenever I want.

...

Am I with you now?
