When you were young,

your parents didn’t let you sow your wild oats.

Instead, they overly sheltered you and had you eat oatmeal.

When you grew up,

you got married prematurely,

maybe, because I offered you cream of wheat instead of oatmeal?

Over time though,

your wild oats exploded like the beads in a beanie baby that had its head severed,

to the point that I just had to leave.

I left to give you the space and freedom that you always needed, in order to sow your wild oats.

Tonight, I wager that you didn’t eat oatmeal or cream of wheat.

And that’s good for you… maybe.

I think the jury is out to get a few McGriddles.

It’s quietly devastating in a goofy, genius way.✨
