When Two Worlds Collided

A near miss that lost it all

When Two Worlds Collided

The sky was split, a silent wound,

Two worlds approached, the air attuned.

A glance, a word, a brittle start,

A fragile thread to bind a heart.

Their shadows met in quiet lands,

No touch, no grasp of reaching hands.

A spark, a clash, a whispered fight,

Two flames that never found the night.

One spoke of storms and roaring seas,

The other knelt to silent trees.

Their echoes crossed, but never stayed,

A fleeting bond that slipped and frayed.

The sky grew cold, a bitter mark,

Their voices lost within the dark.

No bridge to build, no path to tread,

Just silent words that went unsaid.

The stars looked on but did not shine,

The fault too deep, the fractured line.

A silent war of stone and sand,

Two worlds that could not understand.

The winds grew loud, the ground was thin,

A hollow ache beneath the skin.

Each standing still, a breath, a stare,

And distance settled in the air.

A final glance — a severed tie,

No answer left, no reason why.

Two worlds collided, broke, and burned,

And never once were they returned.
