When Time Runs Out

The game is over too soon

When Time Runs Out

Like a game of chess, each move we make,

Shifts the sands of time, for choices’ sake.

The board is vast, the players few,

Yet every piece has a role to pursue.

The hourglass turns, the grains cascade,

Moments fleeting, decisions laid.

A storm may brew, skies might cry,

But time marches on, as we ask why.

So play your game with heart and grace,

For when time runs out, it’s not the race.

It’s how you moved, the lives you touched,

The legacy left, that matters much.
