When the Stars Forgot to Shine

Even in the darkest skies, we find the brightest truths within

By Mahmood AfridiPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

The sky once whispered dreams to me,

A thousand lights in endless sea.

They told of hope, of love, of time,

Of melodies both soft and prime.

But one dark night, they lost their glow,

No spark above, no light below.

The moon stayed still, the world turned grey,

And all my wishes slipped away.

I called their names, they did not hear,

Their silence fed my quiet fear.

Was I alone in this vast sky?

Or just a soul too weak to try?

Yet in that dark, a truth was clear,

The light I seek was always near.

Not in the stars, not far away,

But in my heart to guide my way.
