When the rain falls

And the rain fell

And the water flowed back from whence it came.

And I stood still .

Tell me, what do I do when my arms

Have turned to stone

And my legs have become one with the earth?

And the Sun shone and rose again

Then, retreated back to its alcove

Along with the creatures that crawled the earth

Pray, why does stillness befall

And how does one become 'unstuck'?

And the winds continued to change

And the sea thrashed and settled

Why, do I not move

When the world already does that for me?

Why am I scared of the silence

That will come if I turn off the noise of distraction?

Why do my eyes stay closed

When I know the flowers wilt?

And the soil was nourished

And the flowers died.
