Enjoy The Journey
Torn pages and broken promises
Nice dresses and linen sheets
Rule breakers and their accomplices
Wrong way on a one way street
Rich men collecting goddesses
To make them feel complete
Cigarette breaks on reconnaissance
Moonlighting playing beats
So hard to be anonymous
Wandering around like sheep
Real life and dreams, synonymous
Now I lay me down to sleep
Restless, is there an end to this
Insomnia tastes bittersweet
Too late, the words are spoken
Can’t dance with two left feet
My faith in trust is broken
Faithful and faithless meet
Here’s a tip, a little token
A little secret about me
I cover tears with joking
Sarcasm isn’t free
Price paid from constant poking
Frees my heart and gives me peace
There’s my Friday morning ramble
Hope you find something for you
Life’s a game and we’re all gamblers
Don’t be afraid to play the fool
