First Kiss

Stirring Stars

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read
From a Facebook post

From out of nowhere you kissed me

Like nothing I’d felt before

I saw so many stars glistening

At least a million or more

Bright and mesmerizing

Dancing shadows across the floor

It was impossible to see the sky

With oh, so many different stars

Filling my eyes, flooding my mind

So many perfect stars, making their mark

Shooting and plummeting from out the sky

Lifting my spirits, lighting the dark

My only star, fell for me, from heaven

Into my life, like a spark from the flame

Never before had such a sweet gift been given

It’s clear now, I could never be the same
