When life is shit, buy lots of toilet paper

Shit comes in bucket loads

When life is shit, buy lots of toilet paper

Not for comfort, but to muffle the screams

Of a world unraveling at the seams.

Each roll a bandage for unseen wounds,

A silent protest in cluttered rooms.

The scent of bleach, the hum of despair,

Echoes of laughter that once filled the air.

Now replaced by the rustle of sheets,

A symphony of solitary retreats.

In the fortress of paper, I find my throne,

A kingdom of waste, yet all my own.

No subjects to govern, no battles to wage,

Just the ticking clock and an empty page.

So I stockpile rolls, a fragile defense,

Against the chaos, the world’s pretense.

For when life is shit, and hope runs thin,

I build my walls and tuck myself in.
