When I Confess

One Last Time

By AtiqbuddyPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

If I whispered your gaze holds the glow of the stars,

if I claimed that your laugh brings the morning its light,

if I vowed that your voice heals invisible scars,

and your touch is the fire that softens the night,

if I said with your hands you could steady the seas,

if I swore that your spirit could make rivers rise,

that one breath from your lips bends the tallest of trees,

and that when you feel sorrow, I weep with the skies;

if I open my soul, can a spark still remain

when I tell you the cosmos is etched in your face?

If I fall into you, will you soften the pain

when I say even angels stand still at your grace?

---

Would you tell me our love cannot weather the storm?
Could you turn from my eyes, and deny what was warm?
