When honesty exposes weakness

All you do is lie

When you know for a fact

That will never make it right

But how do you accept

It's going to take some time

To free yourself from all

The burdens of your mind

Unable to find balance

You’re not even stable

And loves storybook ending

Becomes an Aesop fable

But you can’t find moral

Walking a line above a slippery slope

So, you bury yourself beneath desperation

Without a light of hope

And the cycle repeats

When honesty exposes

You will be forever in search

For what once was a freedom’s blessing

Will now become a slave’s curse
