When Did Jesus Know

Sometimes I Wonder

By Earl W. PearlPublished 2 years ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

He laid there in a manger’s feed

When birthed on Christmas morn

That day that heaven all agreed

Man’s flesh He would adorn

So when He woke that second day

Did He know He was God

That Something special’s come our way

That angels would applaud

When was it that He understood

His purpose on this earth

That He would live as humans would

But through a virgin birth

Did He know some would turn away

Back when His life began

That most of them would go astray

Reject salvation’s plan

His powers proved undoubtably

He was in fact, divine

They watched Him walk atop the sea

Turn water into wine

Did He know He would heal the blind

Raise others from the dead

Or be the hope for all mankind

The reason demons fled

Was He aware He wouldn’t mesh

And trouble would be rife

That claiming to be “God in flesh”

Would cost His human life

There’s always someone who betrays

Like Judas planned to do

When we live Christ in hidden ways

Then we’re a “Judas” too

When Jesus was a newborn boy

Did He already know

He’d circumvent the devil’s ploy

And pay the debt WE owe

It’s clear He wouldn’t compromise

“Redeem mankind, amen”

And when did He first recognize

He’ll come for us again

I am sure Jesus Knew from a very young age, he was different. I think , it started when he visit the temple and he knew more than the high priest in the temple. Love your poem 💗
