Lean your cheek on her soft fur,

Feel her bellows hum

About the Creator

Sonia Heidi Unruh

I love: my husband and children; all who claim me as family or friend; the first bite of chocolate; the last blue before sunset; solving puzzles; stroking cats; finding myself by writing; losing myself in reading; the Creator who is love.

I'm more of a dog person, but the basic principle is the same. Love the haiku!

As a kid I coined the phrase for myself, "when you're feeling down, hug a dog." Fuzzy companions are sometimes the very best comforters, listeners, friends. Beautiful haiku! :)
