What You Don't know

Beware

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

The slickest trick the devil has

Is convince you he does not exist

He smiles and he revels as

He hides the poison on his lips

Pulls you in and holds you close

Plays the trick before your eyes

Slips the deadliest of doses

While all along, wearing a smile

It only takes a moment

For the deed to take affect

Far too late for an atonement

With no chance to resurrect

Any sense of clarity

too late now to start again

His subtle act of barbarity

Was your unforgiving sin

What you mistook for an angel

Was just the devil in disguise

Your will, feeble and fragile

Is the start of your demise

Good work. One must be careful out there no matter what we are doing.
