.

What was my ex-wife's name again? - I suddenly forgot!

by

Ross E F Lombardi.

.

Yes,

I am a bit haunted by my ex

.

Yes,

My ex plays on my mind far too often,

.

It was 30 years of my life!

In THIS area!

Everywhere I look, something nudges a synapse!

Everywhere I look!

A twinge of pain,

As a broken heart marionette string is pulled.

Everywhere!

.

Except one....

Everywhere I look, except one!

.

When I look in a certain direction,

I forget her completely

.

When I look at a certain location,

I barely remember my ex's name.

.

My eyes see.

My mind empties.

A bit of childish joy happens!

.

And this magical site shifts and changes its position.

By using feet, and taxis and cars, and just generally moving around as people do.

Which is annoying.

Because stupid crushes suck!

.

The way to look,

Depends on where that woman stands.

This is very irritating.

And extremely inconvenient.

.

Yes,

Crushes suck!

And very stupid crushes suck extra hard with spikes on!

.

This crush is Not 'stupid'.

.

Not 'Just' stupid -

.

This crush is Super Extra stupid with a black cherry on top.

This is an extremely, foolish, moron laden idiot crush!

Like a cockroach infestation,

Every time I get rid of it,

The buggers keeps regenerating!

.

So, I must look everywhere else.

Instead of where she is.

.

Because good people, decent human beings, do not make -

- Do not let -

Their stupid, immature, romantic crush fantasies.

Ever become their crush's problem!
