What the Christmas Tree Tells

Those tinsel, and those lights do shine.

The smell of evergreen invades the nose.

This tree is my responsibility, all mine.

I must make it true, ornaments as clothes.

What the tree tells is a story of caring,

As the thing dazzles the eyes.

It is a moment of daring,

To keep the piece of flora as the prize.

I enjoy the tune it tells.

I can hum it slowly with great might.

It’s the sound of bells

That make it a good night.

Where this tree stands is like a flag.

It will stay shortly after the Man with the Bag.
