What She Doesn’t Know

Secrets always out in the end

What She Doesn’t Know

He says,

What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her,

like lies are soft blankets,

like truth is a weapon to hide.

But I feel the cold edge beneath the words,

the weight of silence heavier than screams.

His betrayal started a lie of hurt

that will rock her world and break her heart in two,

so yes, it will hurt her,

whether it’s silenced or loud.

What she doesn’t know is already bruised,

already breaking.

There’s no shelter in shadows, no peace in silence,

only the echo of promises shattered.

And when the quiet falls, the cracks grow loud,

because the hardest truth is what’s left unspoken.

Sid (before me) has the perfect cliche response to the cliche "what she doesn't know won't hurt her".. is He Eve or is She Eve? hahahha. Maybe He doesn't know that She already knows.

    truth always will come out

  • Yes, the cost of suppression is too dear. Well-said, Marie.
