What is Friendship?

acrostic essay

Puppy dog friends (pexels.com)

Friends together through thick and thin

relying on each other

instilling a never-ending time that

entirely and

notwithstanding the many choices that one may make

defending each other and determining that our

similarities and differences that we see and accept will be

honest and true

including all the other

people that surround us each day of our lives.

As a child, I had very few friends. Not worth getting into the geographies of the whys. Now, here I am, with more friends than I ever dreamed. Two, in particular. The cruise I was on? One of them decided I should go with her and purchased my ticket. The other? Never asks if I need help; she just pops in the digs in. The rest? We meet each month for lunch .... all fourteen of us! What a great world friendship is!

Ahh, a lovely account of friendship and timely that it is published about the same time that I published a verse about a different kind of friendship. Thanks for sharing
