Driving through Vegas

On a cool summer night

A man yelled, "they're among us"

his eyes, filled with fright

I pulled over to assist him

to be sure he's alright

And that's when I saw them

under the flashing street lights

They said, "we are friendly"

there is no nothing to fear

We are looking for entry

so, take us to your leader

We assumed he was here

in these cascading lights

But it's become pretty clear

you keep him, kept out of sight

I asked, is there something I can help you with?

They could tell I had finished, a fourth of a fifth

Slurring my words, I said, I can help

They started to laugh, as I let out a yelp

They said, you can tell you medicate yourself

I said, only the best, from the very top shelf

They seemed pretty harmless, so I showed them around

Casinos and buffets, all over the town

Before they took off, they said, there's something you should know

We opened for Celine, at her first Vegas show

We now have an agent, and a gig, 9-5

We have every intention to get down and jive

This manner of living, is sure off the charts

We need to relay this, to our counterparts

I said sure, with excitement, and then, we were gone
