What's that lurking in the darkness
floating just beneath the boat
A new evil to be harnessed
with its grip around her throat
She dives in to take a gander
trying to get a better look
Discovers that he's an enchanter
and now she's tangled in his hook
Fell for his trap, hook line and sinker
always thought that she knew best
Too late now for second thinkin
he grips the heart inside her chest
She kicks and fights without success
feels herself sinking to the bottom
Fate watched her go, sweet evanesce
like the leaves that fall in autumn
They found her boat floating alone
no one ever found a trace
But once a year, they see a ghost
some say resembles Anna's face

Haunting, and it leaves one wondering how much is metaphorical. Well twisted, Kelli!
This poem captures a haunting tale of enchantment and betrayal, illustrating how curiosity can lead to one's downfall. The imagery of the depths and the ghostly Anna evokes a sense of loss and lingering mystery. It's a poignant reminder of the consequences of underestimating danger.
