What does love taste like?

It’s like the finest wine, and lingers with you for ever more

What does love taste like?

Love is like wine, it makes you dizzy,

A breathless swirl, a pulse gone hazy.

It whispers soft, then pulls so tight,

A heavy heart in the quiet night.

It stains the lips, but not the soul,

A fleeting rush, a quiet toll.

A thirst that comes and slips away,

Like shadows at the end of day.

It burns, then cools, a shifting heat,

An empty glass, a heart’s retreat.

It lingers close, then slips from sight,

Like stars that fade with the morning light.

Love is like wine, both bitter and sweet,

A dance of silence, a rhythm of defeat.

But in its wake, there’s something more,

A taste that lingers, forever more.

Could this be the wine of life? The sweet, sour and bitter yet hearty taste of living.
