My Love

He is a dove

flying high above

others do not even come close!

He smells like a rose

to me!

We are as happy as can be!

We fit like a glove

my love!

Nothings perfect.

There is respect.

He grew up with humor

he has heard a rumor

or two that are similar

to the ones I heard.

He is my third

husband and number one

in my mind, he's fun!

Good with the grands

and the greatgrands!

Special in every way!

Loving him every day!

We ride motorcycles together

and eat at DQ, how can it be better?

We watch an occasional program

and write a poem, yes mam

Excuse me, it's a rhyme he says

And it helps that he grew up on the rez

I love being his misses

If he didn't chew, we would have more kisses!

We were friends first

long-term recovery, no more thirst

for alcohol or drugs

we care more about hugs!

He loved me through PMS, I swoon

and still through a certain full moon!

He is that special one

and we are not done!
