What do I have left?

For all those whose lives have hit an unexpected wall

It’s getting hard to breathe…

*

My heart beats unsteady,

Uneasy in my chest.

Like it doesn’t belong.

…I know the feeling.

*

My mind starts to wonder.

Have I reached my limit?

Carried all I’m feeling,

As far as I can go.

*

I know my feet are tired.

They’ve taken me far.

Maybe as far as I can go.

But now I’ve nowhere left to turn.

*

Where can I go?

*

What will I do?

*

Haven’t I tried it all?

That’s why I’m tired.

Heavy with burden.

But empty of feeling.

*

We reach a point when…

We have nothing left.

I’ve been here before.

More than once.

*

I picked myself up.

Achieved so much

And now it’s all gone.

With nothing to show.

But can I do it again?

*

What do I have left?

***************************

For all those whose lives have hit an unexpected wall. For those who have fallen and don't know how to pick themselves up. Let’s do it together.

***************************
