What Do I Call a Good Day?
A day of substantial learning

What do I call a good day?
A day when I learn something new
is a fabulous day.
I mean it.
After all, this life journey
is largely about
understanding the mystery
and getting enriched.
So—
a new word, a phrase,
a concept, a discovery—
makes me happy.
It tells me I am not stagnant
but learning.
It gives me
a dopamine kick.
I learned peach flowers
in Japanese are called momo.
Pre-dawn in Spanish is madrugada.
Pacific Flyway
is a major route
for migratory birds.
My son's eczema
is worse after waking up.
April can be blustery.
Tiger swallowtail
caterpillars feed on elm leaves.
And so much more.
I am like sponge—
ready for soaking in knowledge.
I’m proud of this interest
a day of abundant learning
is a good day.

You seem to be a person who absorbs meaning in a lot of things. Good job.
