What Did You Say?

You Can't Say That

What Did You Say?

I can't say what I think

cause it might hurt your feelings

I can't say what I feel

and that keeps me from healing

I can't share what's on my mind

cause it might stir a commotion

So much we hold deep inside

it could fill up the ocean

From religion to to race

politics to finances

Every soul, every face

zombies walking in trances

We hold so much back

we are not what we seem

We appear white and black

cause no one sees in between

In a world of correctness

completely void of passion

Wanting only acceptance

we find has gone out of fashion
