All hues are welcome
inside my healing heart.
Still dark, it craves
whatever light comes in.
It takes the red
and pumps its fire
into life’s veins.
It revels in yellow,
warm rays are cast
and thaw my senses.
It senses green,
sprouts that turn
slowly into blooms
of pure delight.
It ignites in orange,
bright juices invade me
with their fresh sweetness.
It witnesses the blue
invading all my rooms,
the tint of winter twilight.
And so, it might
ascend me into depths
of a magenta-purple
and find its purpose.
Beyond the mark
of what is tethered,
my love is feathered
and flies to all.
