Living With Silence

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 12 hours ago 1 min read

Verse 1

I’ve been learning how to listen

To the spaces in between,

Where the world grows soft and holy

And the heart becomes serene.

There’s a doorway made of stillness

Where the ancient truths arise—

Silence opens like a temple

In the center of the mind.

Chorus

Living with silence,

Living with grace,

Letting the eternal

Speak into this place.

Silence isn’t empty,

It’s the fullness we forgot—

Where the soul becomes audible

And remembers what it sought.

Living with silence…

Living with God.

Verse 2

In the hush beneath the thinking,

In the breath beneath the fear,

There’s a guidance always waiting,

Soft and steady, ever near.

Not a voice that shouts or trembles,

Not a thunder from above—

Just a presence made of knowing,

Just a whisper shaped like love.

Chorus

Living with silence,

Living with grace,

Letting the eternal

Speak into this place.

Silence isn’t empty,

It’s the fullness we forgot—

Where the soul becomes audible

And remembers what it sought.

Living with silence…

Living with God.

Bridge

Oh, the quiet is a teacher,

Oh, the stillness is a friend.

Every time I enter gently,

Something broken starts to mend.

Silence is the soul’s own memory,

Silence is the ancient hymn—

Calling me back to the origin,

Calling me home again.

Final Chorus

Living with silence,

Living with grace,

Letting the eternal

Speak into this place.

Silence isn’t empty,

It’s the fullness we forgot—

Where the soul becomes audible

And remembers what it sought.

Living with silence…

Living with God.

Outro

So I walk with quiet footsteps,

Let the noise fall from my skin.

Every moment holds a doorway

If I’m willing to go in.
