The Mysteries of Convergence

Poppy's Number Eleven

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nature, life, the science scattered in history and displayed in the arts
Which simply cannot be explained in total sum or even in their parts,
Either too beautiful , too lofty, too unfathomable, too complex
for any human mind or heart to gather and this causes us to perplex.
It's not as though a veil has covered a Godly gift from any mortal being
It's just that we are all so busy in the doing, making, talking, dreaming,
that we have quit thinking, smelling, tasting, touching, and even seeing.
Consider the ocean's mighty force being squelched at the edge of the shore
As the invisible Hand of a Halcyon says to wind and wave, no more!
And to each sunrise, each sunset where the earth and sky converge
bring both end and beginning to a horizon, new hopes join and merge.
Even the hard, white wood of a maple tree is really just a shell
It hides the goodness inside its core, the place where the sweet does dwell.
So, let's all stop each day for a mindful rest to see the things worth seeing
and in so doing, give thanks above to the One who gave us being!
Thank you, Poppy for Number Eleven :)
