Weigh in after Christmas

Boy did I go mad, was it worth it? I say as I cry 😭

Weigh in after Christmas

I hate the scales, I really do,

Seven pounds on at Christmas—now I’m so blue.

Back to Weight Watchers, January’s call,

Oh, how I regret those treats, one and all.

Help me, God, melt this fat, I pray,

For I feasted and sinned every single day.

Cookies and puddings, chocolates galore,

Now the reckoning knocks at my door.

I’m only human, I slipped, I swear,

But this high-fat gain feels so unfair.

With resolve anew, I’ll tread the line,

One day at a time, I’ll be just fine.

So here’s to salads and steps to take,

To smaller portions and no more cake.

Though the journey’s tough, I’ll find my way,

A healthier me begins today.

Christmas is a time to enjoy but one does and should know when to watch and make sure not to overdo in various activities. Good honest job.
