In Her Book Start With Hello , Shannan Martin reminds readers that we can’t Tyrannize our way to Harmony, that thought inspired this poem…

We can’t fight

Our way to Harmony.

We can’t hope

That hateful

Words and weapon

Will fix that which

Is broken.

We can’t throw out

Ugliness

And expect

Beauty

To shine forth.

We can’t shatter

Hearts

Expecting to

Make them whole

Break a child’s

Spirit

And expect

Them to grow.

We can’t bury

Pain

And expect

Not to

Explode.

We can’t Fight

Our way to Harmony

And expect that

Pain won’t grow.

So Very sad, but perhaps true. People can't expect to get out of their children, what they have not experienced. Well Done Michelle.
