Announcement! Announcement!

Your father has arrived!

A belt in his hand, he flicks it to the door,

OPEN UP, young one, come sit outside!

How dare you hide from your family?

Your mother needs help, therapy from you

Sit down and listen, don't say a word

How dare you express that opinion of yours

A warning, young one, you listen, don't speak

We know better for we are your FAMILY

But imagine if we were held to account

If you walked away and held you ground

If you walked away and said goodbye

What family are we if you are no more?

But wait, the family will always remain

Because it's not just people, it's a system of sin

We hide, we sneak, we talk behind backs

But we do it together and that makes it okay

You think you're different? No you're not

You're one of us, we will make sure

How dare you question our mighty ways?

If it wasn't for us, there would be no you.

So take this warning, my dear young one,

We'll always be here waiting for you.
