Traveling on through darkened tunnels
Discovery is a glistening lake
The air is clear
The water pure
This is where my soul awakens
A flowing stream that fills my body
It is here I came to realize
That forever my path is guided
My heart once tarnished by the darkness
Is being filled with lessons learned
In the shade of paradise
The water is refreshing life
I sit back on the greenery
Blades of grass between my fingers
The sun beams bright
The breeze is calm
Streaming through the swaying trees
I journey through the rocky shore
My feet are covered deep in algae
With my hand I stir the water
Making movement, ripples, patterns
I see it right in front of me
It’s awesome and inspiring
How the water is alive
Sparkling full of miracles
I’m walking to the rushing river
It empties to a peaceful lake
Standing in a realm of glory
The water fills the air with beauty
The moss has gathered ‘tween my toes
Like walking on a bed of clouds
The birds are singing songs of love
Gliding through the rays of sunshine
The water is a moving body
Displaying action
Giving life
The winds have brought me to the water
Just so I may be revived
When my heart was rough and calloused
Like the crudest grit of sand
The water came and washed upon
The soil of this hardened land
It grabbed my hand and said come follow
To a place that we call home
I sit here in this land of peace
And reflect upon the calmness
I stir the water with my hands
As I watch the ripples widen

If You Love Me, You'll Do It
I met Jason when I was five years old. I could say that I loved him from the moment I saw him. He was so handsome to me and I felt in awe by his presence. When they introduced him as the new kid in school, I wanted to be his friend right away. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember his smile and how he didn't seem shy. He appeared confident and ready to learn. I waved at him and said "hello," before anyone else could even say a word. He sat next to me, and I asked him if he wanted to be friends. He looked so happy as he said, "Yes!"
