An Etheree

Eyes

On the

Back of my

Neck, watching me closely

Death staring me down, watching

For any sign of weakness

Walking in the jungle all alone

Wishing for more sunlight to pierce the

Veil of the canopy of the trees above

Misery in the shape of a panther leopard laying

In wait for the next unsuspecting victim of its claws

  • Oooo, this was so dark and intense! I loved it!

  • Evocative, both in the real & in the metaphorical sense.

Nice! I especially loved the last lines: 'Misery in the shape of a panther leopard laying In wait for the next unsuspecting victim of its claws' Ominous and dark! Well done!
