I'd rather watch the world

than be a part pf it.

And rush past the lives

instead of living it minute.

-

The dream of a taste

is sweeter than its reality.

The fantasy of the mountain

is greater than its actuality.

-

I'd rather ignite a light

than bask in its realm.

I'd rather blow forth a wave

than allow it to overwhelm.

-

I'd rather watch the world

than to dare touch its beauty.

I'm afraid I'll shade it black

and forfeit my life-long duty.
