Vapor

We chase a World of Nothings

Within the vapor of warmth in chill,

lies the life of humanity.

One second here, the next gone

still, we chase it for our sanity.

-

Can one make money stay

or keep the pleasure of sweets?

Or grasp the waves of smell

or recall what man eats.

-

It's all temporary

a vision one thinks they'll enjoy.

But along comes a day with rain

and man is G-d's ploy.

-

We chase the world's nothings

bleeding the guilt our deeds.

And when we meet the sweat of our pursuit,

The vapor mocks our needs.
