Walking Boots

Verse 1
I gave you my heart, laid it on the line,
Thought we were forever, oh, we were so entwined.
But as the days passed, shadows appeared,
Your love was a whisper, now it's crystal clear.
Chorus
When the truth breaks through, showing colors so stark,
I won’t wear rose-colored glasses just to hide the dark.
You don’t care for me, and that’s plain to see,
So I’m putting on my walking boots, and I’m finally free.
Verse 2
I painted our dreams on the canvas of fate,
But you brushed them aside, love turned to cold hate.
The laughter we shared now echoes in vain,
I was lost in your world, now I’m breaking the chain.
Chorus
When the truth breaks through, showing colors so stark,
I won’t wear rose-colored glasses just to hide the dark.
You don’t care for me, and that’s plain to see,
So I’m putting on my walking boots, and I’m finally free.
Bridge
Every tear that fell was a lesson learned,
A fire inside me, oh, how it burned.
I’ll gather my strength, won’t look back anymore,
These boots are my armor, I’m ready to soar.
Chorus
When the truth breaks through, showing colors so stark,
I won’t wear rose-colored glasses just to hide the dark.
You don’t care for me, and that’s plain to see,
So I’m putting on my walking boots, and I’m finally free.
Outro
So here’s to the journey, the road I must take,
No more illusions, I’m breaking this fake.
With every step forward, I’ll reclaim my soul,
I’m walking away now, I’m finally whole.
