Walk In My Steps No Never
I walk alone always my direction. my journey, my way

Walk In My Steps No Never
Walk in my steps, no never they said,
My road was too heavy to bear,
They warned you about loving me,
About breathing my air.
I learned independence through exile,
Not freedom, just space,
Spiritual solitude teaches you,
How to face your face.
Every step echoed loudly,
No guide, no map, no sign,
Love followed at a distance,
Unsure if I was mine.
They feared my questions openly,
My refusal to kneel,
Faith that thinks for itself,
Feels too real.
I walked through judgment slowly,
Carried it like rain,
Some paths only make sense,
When walked in pain.
You watched me from the edge,
Afraid to step inside,
Love hesitates when it knows,
The cost is pride.
Now my steps are my own language,
Written in scar and breath,
Spiritual truth is earned slowly,
Not inherited faith.
Walk in my steps, no never they said,
So I walked anyway,
And found a self worth keeping,
At the end of the way.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
