Waiting for her

Poem

By M.A.RahmanPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

ai

The darkness of night descends, the city sleeps,

My eyes alone gaze down the street.

Sitting by the window, in the silent night,

The hours of waiting pass, with the pain of separation.

The whisper of the wind, as if it speaks of her,

Sounds of the tired day drift from afar.

The moonlight covers the sad surroundings,

In the depths of my heart, only sighs echo.

When will this chapter of waiting end?

When will you come and light up the way?

In the courtyard of my heart, longing hope,

Will find new meaning in your touch.

Time flows on, like the river's current,

Memories gather, like a hundred words.

Yet, I hold onto the belief, you will return,

To this shore of my waiting.

Breaking this silence, you will sing your song,

You will soothe my wounded soul.

In the hope of that day, I still watch the path,

You are the solace of all my waiting.
