I once called my reflection a stranger,
Unworthy of light.
With loathing, I carved my silence.
But even in darkness,
I whispered for light.
Vowing I’ll stand,
No matter the fight.
My lines remain,
But I rise.
I am not a wound.
I'm in love with the person I’ve become.

Oh yeah🙌🏽 I’m so here for the self love
This was extremely powerful and uplifting! Loved your poem!
Rock on! Self-love isn't easy to cultivate, IMO. But it's like a muscle. The more you use it, the easier it gets. I subscribed to you. Nice to meet you. My name is Bill (or Bolt.) ⚡💙⚡
It is so special if you can have self reflection and still love the person you have become. Beautifully written!!
