Volcano

A limerick entry for D.K. Shepard's Vocal Acrostic Challenge Lighthearted Laughs category (although, if I'm honest, it's not really that lighthearted and is more satirical/wishful thinking but it is a limerick and those tend to be humorous)

Volcanic eruptions are made

Of magma the Earth has displaced.

Clouds of ash hit the sky

And I'm wondering why

Lava can't just be spewed towards Hate.

Clever acrostic… I’m with Caroline, hope & love trump hate eventually!

  • Good question, Rachel. Good question.

I appreciate a limerick that leans more to the clever side! And this certainly does! Great acrostic, Rachel!

Fab last line - wish it could be so…. Although I still believe (I hope) that love conquers eventually. Eventually.

Oh, hell yeah on that last line!

I think we run into the problem that hate is everywhere so lava just gets spread out over the world. Great job!

  • Oooo, those last two lines. It can apply to so many things. But people with money can always evade the lava. Loved your poem!
